East Yorkshire’s Greatest Road Race: Snake Lane 10

During the Race

For me, this race served as a training run for an upcoming marathon, I didn’t have a specific time goal. I ran into a friend at the starting line, and we decided to run together. While the course offers its challenges, the reward at the finish line is immeasurable. Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or just a memorable experience, this race has it all.

The Result

We completed the race in 1 hour, 32 minutes, and 57 seconds – a great time considering we chatted the entire way around. Notably, my friend achieved a remarkable 6-minute personal best! Last year, participants received hoodies upon completing the race, but this year, we were pleasantly surprised with a head torch instead of the usual race tee. A testament to the thoughtfulness of the organisers, it’s a race where the details matter.
