It’s Great North Run race week! All ready to con

It’s Great North Run race week! All ready to conquer race day? Here are my top tips:
•
🍝Fuel up: Carbs the night before, and stay hydrated. Take an energy bar for the starting pens as you may be waiting a while
•
👀Familiarise yourself with the route: There’s a long incline at miles 4-5 and a climb at miles 11-12, but it’s downhill from there!
•
🧘🏻‍♀️Stay calm: Soak up the positive vibes from the crowd and enjoy the live bands (and the beer stop at mile 10🍻)
•
🎉Oggy Oggy Oggy! Expect to hear this chant, and respond with your loudest “Oi Oi Oi!”
•
💪🏻Finish strong: When you see the sea, you know you’re almost there! The final mile is packed with spectators which is a huge boost.
•
