‘Tis the season for festive feasts and indulgence! Christmas is the time to embrace baggy jumpers and stretchy pants – after all, ’tis the season to eat, drink, and be merry. While there’s been a flood of articles bombarding us with calorie counts and exercise recommendations to burn off holiday treats, let’s take a moment to put the joy back in the festivities.

I, for one, am tired of the calorie countdowns. Did you know, according to a recent article, it would take the equivalent of running 2 marathons or swimming for 13 hours to burn off a Christmas dinner? Honestly, it’s one day of the year, so let’s ditch the guilt-tripping.

Counting calories has never been my thing, especially not during Christmas. I believe in the magic of moderation. If I fancy another helping of roast potatoes on Christmas Day, I’m going for it, guilt-free. Calorie concerns only arise with excessive daily indulgence, and that’s not my style.

Sure, I might put on a few extra pounds, but I’m balancing it out by staying active during the festive season! So, if anyone tries to lecture me about calories or questions my festive feasting, the answer is a resounding yes, I’m enjoying every bite.

Let’s savour the joys of Christmas without the unnecessary guilt trips. Wishing you all a delightful Christmas filled with laughter and good cheer! Cheers to the season, and now, where did I put that box of After Eights? 🎄🍫
